Delhi and Mumbai overtake leisure destinations in hotel revenue performance

Delhi and Mumbai have regained the top positions in India’s hotel revenue rankings, overtaking leisure and spiritual destinations that had led the market in the previous fiscal year. Hotelivate’s Trends & Opportunities 2026 report puts FY2025–26 revenue per available room (RevPAR) at ₹9,811 for Delhi and ₹9,761 for Mumbai, ahead of Ranthambore at ₹9,649 and Rishikesh at ₹9,583.

Varanasi also climbed to fifth place, with RevPAR increasing to ₹8,857 from ₹6,769. The figures point to renewed corporate travel, international visitation and MICE activity, while offering hotel operators a reason to reassess pricing, inventory and group-sales strategies.
