Asia-Pacific aviation and hotel markets continue to expand their B2B pipeline

The 26 August Asia trade cycle also brought a cluster of important network and hospitality developments: British Airways announced a London–Melbourne expansion for January 2027, while Marriott announced a Ritz-Carlton development in Cambodia. China also saw a new meetings-industry entrant, CIMX, engaging PCMA.

At the same time, Papua New Guinea returned to Singapore’s NATAS Fair with Air Niugini and the Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority, signalling renewed efforts to engage Southeast Asian travel trade.

Why it matters: Asia’s recovery story is increasingly being expressed through new routes, hotel supply and trade partnerships rather than simply passenger-arrival numbers.
