Singapore’s NATAS Travel Fair expands — and China is back in a big way

The 64th NATAS Travel Fair opened in Singapore on 21 August and is running through 23 August.

The fair has nearly 100 exhibitors, occupies 25% more exhibition space than in 2025, and features 14 national tourism organisations — a 40% increase from the previous edition.

The message is clear: Asian travellers are looking beyond the traditional Beijing–Shanghai–Tokyo circuit towards seasonal, regional and experience-led destinations.

For the Indian travel trade, the expansion of regional travel fairs is another signal that Asian outbound demand is becoming increasingly fragmented, specialised and experience-driven.
