Vietnam’s northern tourism triangle is actively courting high-spending Japanese travelers.
The Departments of Tourism of Hanoi, Ninh Binh, and Quang Ninh jointly organized the Vietnam–Japan B2B Tourism Business Networking Program 2026 (25-29 May), part of a Famtrip surveying the Hanoi – Ninh Binh – Quang Ninh tourism corridor .
Why Japan?
Japan is identified as a key international market with high spending power and stringent quality requirements. Ninh Binh’s Tourism Director Bui Van Manh stated the province hopes to “strengthen cooperation with Japanese travel agencies in product development, tour connectivity, and tourist exchange” .
India takeaway
While this is Japan-focused, the inter-regional tourism route model (Gateway → Heritage/Eco → Coastal/Island) is highly replicable for Indian destinations looking to attract international B2B partners.
