Southeast Asia Strengthens Tourism Collaboration
Southeast Asia is strengthening tourism cooperation through the ASEAN Tourism Sectoral Plan 2026–2030, built around resilience, workforce development, seamless travel, digital transformation and sustainability. The strategy encourages member states to present the region cohesively while improving crisis preparedness and visitor movement. For Indian outbound operators, this can support multi-country itineraries that combine neighbouring destinations under one commercial proposition. However, seamless travel still depends on progress in visas, flight connections, border processes and product coordination. DMCs that develop cross-border partnerships early will be better placed to serve travellers seeking variety, longer stays and greater value from a single Southeast Asian journey.
