Philippine Airlines announces a major fare promotion
Philippine Airlines announced a week-long sale running from 24 to 30 August, offering discounts of up to 40% on flights to the Philippines and up to 35% on connecting international destinations. Travel under the promotion begins on 16 Aug.
Although promotional fares are tactical rather than structural, they can stimulate shoulder-season demand and help agents build advance-booking campaigns. The offer also illustrates how national carriers use sales periods to support inbound tourism and promote Manila as a regional gateway.
