MADHYA PRADESH TRAVEL MART OPENS WITH 250+ INTERNATIONAL BUYERS, ₹1,100 CRORE IN INVESTMENTS
The 7th Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart (MPTM 2026) opened Wednesday at Bhopal’s Kushabhau Thakre Convention Centre, positioning itself as the state’s largest B2B tourism platform yet. Over 250 international buyers from 40+ countries, 700+ domestic buyers, and 250+ exhibitors are participating in the four-day event themed “Where Tourism Meets Opportunity”.
Investment commitments exceed ₹1,100 crore, including a ₹848.40 crore mega tourism project in Ramgarh, Sehore district—an international-standard golf course, wellness resort, and luxury hotel expected to generate 920 direct jobs. Letters of Award worth ₹252 crore for 14 projects—hotels, wellness resorts, luxury tented camps, eco-tourism units—will also be handed to private investors. Madhya Pradesh recorded 21.05 crore tourists in 2025, a historic 57 percent increase.
B2B Takeaway: Central India is no longer a flyover state. The MPTM’s scale—and the government’s aggressive investment facilitation—signals that Madhya Pradesh intends to compete for international inbound share against Kerala, Rajasthan, and Goa.
