ITB India opens in Mumbai as global travel trade turns its attention to the Indian market
One of the industry’s most important India-facing B2B events, ITB India 2026, opened on 1 September at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre for three days of meetings between international suppliers and Indian travel buyers. The event brings together tourism boards, airlines, hotels, DMCs, technology companies and other travel-sector stakeholders.
Why it matters: The timing is significant. India is no longer simply a volume source market; destinations are competing for higher-value Indian travellers, MICE groups, weddings, luxury FITs and repeat visitors.
