Goa Plans Digital Reputation Centre
Goa Tourism is preparing an online reputation-management centre ahead of the visitor season. The proposed nine-month operation would monitor social platforms, travel portals, blogs and review sites in multiple languages, identify emerging complaints and respond to misleading or unverified narratives. The move reflects how quickly online sentiment can influence destination choice, particularly before international charter traffic rises from October. Yet reputation management must extend beyond rebuttal. Hotels, DMCs and attractions should encourage verified reviews, answer complaints transparently and improve weak service points. Authentic guest experiences, supported by timely digital communication, will ultimately protect Goa’s competitiveness more effectively than promotion alone.
