Malabar River Festival 2026 Kicks Off in Kozhikode
Asia’s premier white-water kayaking event, the 12th edition of the Malabar River Festival, commenced today along the Chalipuzha and Iruvanjipuzha rivers in Kozhikode. Organised by the Kerala Department of Tourism and the Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association (IKCA), the four-day festival has attracted over 100 paddlers from nations including New Zealand, Italy, Russia, and Malaysia.
The festival also features the National Kayakers’ Ranking Championship , determining national standings for India’s athletes. This event continues to position Kerala as a hub for adventure tourism, a valuable niche for B2B operators curating experiential itineraries.
