India’s outbound market gets another Gulf connectivity boost from Kerala
Air India Express is preparing to launch direct services from Thiruvananthapuram to Riyadh and Bahrain from 27 October.
The Riyadh service will operate three times weekly and Bahrain twice weekly, adding more direct Gulf connectivity from Kerala.
Why it matters: this is precisely the kind of regional connectivity that can change the economics of both VFR and leisure travel.
For Kerala’s travel trade, direct Gulf connectivity means easier packaging of outbound holidays, improved access for visiting families and potentially stronger two-way traffic between India and the Middle East. The trend fits into the wider Indian outbound market shift and India’s growing international travel opportunity.
