Air India and Tourism Ministry Join Forces to Promote India Globally

India’s national tourism promotion effort is getting a stronger aviation link through a new partnership covering destination marketing, international trade engagement and transit tourism. Joint campaigns are planned across digital platforms, social media and inflight channels, alongside overseas roadshows, exhibitions and familiarisation programmes. State tourism boards may also be brought into campaigns promoting regional destinations. Another important area will be stopover tourism through Delhi and Mumbai, encouraging connecting passengers to spend time exploring India. The airline currently serves 40 international destinations across five continents and connects travellers to more than 1,000 destinations through 25 codeshare and over 120 interline partnerships.
