The route, operating three times weekly, is a strategic response to skyrocketing passenger demand. The inaugural flight on August 16 recorded a 100% load factor.
Data underscores the opportunity: passenger traffic between Vietnam and Sri Lanka reached over 38,000 in 2025, a 17.5% increase year-on-year, with Q1 2026 traffic surging over 136% compared to the previous year. The direct connection slashes travel time and positions Ho Chi Minh City as a stronger regional hub, adding further momentum to Asia-Pacific aviation and regional connectivity.
