Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart Delivers ₹1,100 Crore in Investment Proposals and 57% Tourism Growth

The seventh edition of the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart (MPTM) 2026, held in Bhopal from October 7–10, concluded with investment proposals and agreements worth more than ₹1,100 crore. The event attracted 100 foreign delegates from 34 countries including the United States, France, Japan, Italy, and Australia, alongside 180 domestic tour operators from 15 states.

A flagship agreement worth ₹848.40 crore was signed between the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and M/s ARM Foods Private Limited for a mega tourism development in Ramgarh, Sehore district. The project will include an international-standard golf course, golf villas, a wellness resort, and luxury hospitality infrastructure, creating approximately 920 direct jobs and hundreds of indirect positions.

Tourism Secretary and Managing Director Dr. Ilaiyaraaja T. revealed that Madhya Pradesh recorded a 57% increase in tourist footfall in 2025, reaching a historic 21.05 crore visitors. Letters of Award worth ₹252 crore were issued for 14 major projects covering hotels, wellness resorts, and eco-tourism units. The event also featured a “Maa Ki Rasoi” live counter showcasing traditional Madhya Pradesh cuisine tied to the UN’s millet promotion mission.
