Israel Tourism Targets 100,000 Indian Visitors with Delhi Roadshow and Air India Connectivity
Israel Tourism convened more than 80 Indian travel trade partners in New Delhi on October 12 as part of a three-city roadshow spanning Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. The event featured participation from two destination management companies—Amaris Tours and Events and Satguru Travel—providing a platform for Indian travel professionals to explore Israel’s tourism offerings.
Galit Hoffman, Consul for Tourism Affairs India, highlighted the planned resumption of five weekly Air India flights between Delhi and Tel Aviv from December 1, 2026, a key connectivity development for the outbound segment. The destination is targeting a return to pre-pandemic Indian visitor levels of 70,000 annually, with a longer-term ambition of reaching 100,000.
“Everybody knows Israel for the Holy Land, but Israel has a lot to offer besides the Holy Land,” Hoffman told India Outbound, recommending visitors spend at least two days in Tel Aviv to experience its beaches, culture, and innovation ecosystem. Beyond the roadshow, Israel Tourism plans a December webinar for agents unable to attend in person, and has scheduled two FAM trips in November 2026 with five more planned for 2027. India currently ranks among Israel’s top 10 source markets and is its leading Asian market.
