Flexibility Becomes a Key Priority for Asian Travellers
Asian travellers are placing greater importance on flexible cancellation and payment conditions when choosing accommodation. Search data across ten regional markets found that accommodation type remained the most-used filter, accounting for 19% of filter activity. However, free cancellation and pay-at-hotel options have both entered the ten most popular filters. Travellers are also refining searches around bed types, parking and access to public transport. For hotels, the findings show that accurate listings and clearly stated policies can directly affect visibility and conversion. Properties offering flexible terms may be better positioned to attract guests planning spontaneous breaks, road trips, group holidays or complex multi-destination journeys.
