Emirates Loyalty Members Can Use Miles on European Trains

Airline loyalty rewards are moving beyond flights, with members now able to redeem miles for rail travel across more than 12,000 European destinations. The platform connects travellers with over 40 train operators in 12 countries, including Eurostar, Deutsche Bahn, SNCF, Trenitalia, Renfe and ÖBB. Travellers can choose schedules and ticket types online and pay fully with miles or combine cash and miles. Tickets can also be booked for family and friends. The development makes it easier to connect international flights with onward rail journeys and reflects a broader trend towards multimodal travel loyalty programmes that cover more of the traveller’s journey rather than ending at the airport.
