American Airlines to Launch Chicago–Tokyo Flights in 2027

American Airlines is set to launch flights between Chicago O’Hare and Tokyo in 2027, using Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The new service will strengthen air connectivity between the United States and Japan, supporting business travel, leisure movement and transpacific tourism flows. Tokyo continues to remain one of Asia’s most important aviation and tourism hubs, while Chicago provides strong domestic feed from across the US.
