India and Ethiopia are expanding their historic ties into new frontiers of cooperation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi warmly welcomed Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali on his landmark first official visit to India.
The bilateral talks covered key areas including defence, investment linkages, healthcare, and capacity building, alongside clean energy and critical minerals. In addition to boosting bilateral trade, both leaders pledged to jointly work toward strengthening broader India-Africa relations and amplifying the collective voice of the Global South on international platforms.
