IndiGo targets East Africa with daily Mumbai–Dar es Salaam flights
IndiGo announced daily nonstop Mumbai–Dar es Salaam services from 20 November 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. The route is expected to strengthen links between India and Tanzania for tourism, trade, investment, education and cultural travel.
It will also make IndiGo the only Indian carrier offering nonstop connectivity between the two cities.
B2B angle: Africa is moving from a niche India-outbound proposition into a much more serious product category, particularly for safari, business, diaspora, education and combined leisure itineraries.
