Dubai’s ‘A Dubai Invite’ Programme Receives More Than 90,000 Applications

Dubai has closed registrations for its “A Dubai Invite” programme after receiving more than 90,000 applications from residents. The initiative was designed to encourage Dubai residents to invite friends and relatives to visit the emirate by providing visitor benefits. More than 30,000 benefit packages have already been distributed, while registered visitors can continue arriving until October 31, 2026. The programme was launched on July 20 and its allocation was later increased more than threefold following strong demand. The response underlines the growing role of resident advocacy and personal recommendations in destination marketing, particularly for family and visiting-friends tourism.

Dubai’s strategy also reflects the broader evolution of the Indian outbound travel market, where travellers are increasingly looking for accessible international destinations. The trend is particularly relevant as long-weekend travel bookings continue to rise. At the same time, changing traveller budgets and preferences are reshaping demand across Southeast Asia and competing international destinations.
