MATTA Connect 2026 Concludes in Ipoh, Malaysia

Malaysia’s premier B2B travel marketplace, MATTA Connect 2026, drew to a close today at the Ipoh Convention Centre, with Malaysia’s Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, delivering the keynote address at the closing dinner. The second edition of the event brought together buyers, sellers, and tourism stakeholders from across Malaysia and ASEAN.

Nigel Wong, President of MATTA, highlighted the event’s role in forging “meaningful collaborations and unlocking new business opportunities.” The two-day programme featured structured business matching sessions, destination presentations, and a Business Forum. A key highlight for international buyers was the five-day, four-night pre-tour exploring Perak’s attractions, including the Lenggong Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Royal Belum Rainforest.
