Vietnam Makes Health Declaration Mandatory for All International Travellers from July 2026
Starting July 1, 2026, Vietnam requires all travellers inbound, outbound, and in transit to submit a mandatory health declaration.
Enforced under Decree No. 165/2026/ND-CP and the Law on Disease Prevention, this policy applies to everyone crossing international borders by air, land, or sea.
Here is what you need to know about the new process
When to Submit
The declaration must be completed within 7 days before your travel date (arrival, departure, or transit).
How to Submit
You can complete it online or via a physical paper form.
If the electronic system experiences glitches during the initial rollout, it is highly recommended to carry a printed paper form on arrival.
What is Required
You will need to provide personal details, travel history, and disclose any relevant symptoms.
Additional Requirements
Depending on global health conditions, quarantine officers may also ask for proof of vaccination or other preventive health documents
