Star Air links Ahmedabad with Mundra
GUJARAT: Star Air will begin direct Ahmedabad-Mundra flights from August 17, linking Gujarat’s commercial centre with Mundra, India’s largest private port. The service will operate three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The route fits a broader pattern in Indian aviation in which regional services are increasingly being used to connect commercial centres beyond the traditional metro network. Recent developments such as Jaipur–Guwahati regional connectivity and increased capacity across tier-2 markets underline the same trend.
India’s domestic market carried 1.53 crore passengers in May 2026, demonstrating how important regional aviation has become for the country’s wider travel economy.
