Singapore Airlines and Air China Strengthen Partnership
Singapore Airlines and Air China have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a wider commercial joint venture, aiming to improve connectivity between Singapore and China. The partnership is expected to expand codeshare options, offer smoother connections and give travellers more flexibility across both airlines’ networks.
The two carriers may also coordinate flight schedules, explore joint fares, strengthen frequent flyer cooperation and work together on marketing and revenue opportunities, subject to regulatory approvals. Their existing codeshare partnership, which began in 2016, already covers selected routes linking Singapore with key Chinese cities.
For the travel trade, this move could support stronger business, leisure and transit travel between Singapore, China and beyond.
