OMAN AIR LAUNCHES FIVE NEW ROUTES IN SINGLE MONTH

Oman Air has marked a major milestone, launching five new routes this month in a significant network expansion.

The airline commenced direct flights to Singapore and Sochi on July 2, while Tashkent and its first direct Dubai-Salalah connection began today, July 3. Abu Dhabi service follows on July 9, bringing Oman Air’s network to 49 destinations.

CEO Con Korfiatis described the expansion as “a defining moment for Oman Air,” reflecting “the pace of our transformation but also our ambition to connect Oman to more of the world than ever before. Every new destination we add not only strengthens our network but most importantly, brings more people into Oman.”

Over the past 18 months, Oman Air has steadily expanded through new destinations and strategic partnerships, including joining the oneworld Alliance in June 2025 and launching services to Amsterdam, Rome, and Taif, along with charter flights to Hanoi and Moscow.

B2B Implications

For Indian outbound operators, Oman Air’s expansion—particularly the Dubai-Salalah connection—broadens access to Oman’s tourism offerings. The airline’s focus on developing a network that responds to changing travel demand while supporting Oman Vision 2040 by enhancing connectivity for tourism, trade, and investment signals a concerted push to position Oman as a compelling destination for both leisure and MICE travel.
