IndiGo Suspends Goa & Hyderabad Flights from June 16 — Regional Connectivity Hit
Indian budget carrier IndiGo has decided to temporarily suspend its Goa service and evening Hyderabad flight from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Airport from June 16 to September 30 , 2026 .
The impact
The airline had launched the Goa service in July 2024, operating three times weekly, with strong passenger response. Sunit Kothari, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee (ATDF), said the suspension will affect both tourism and the industrial sector. Passengers will now have to travel via Mumbai for these routes.
Why?
While IndiGo has cited “operational requirements” in its official communication, industry speculation points to rising aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices and operational costs .
B2B Takeaway
Travel agents and tour operators booking group or individual travel to/from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar should plan alternative routings via Mumbai from mid-June through September. A formal request will be made to IndiGo to resume services after the situation normalises.
