Historic Havelock Bridge Set for ₹47 Crore Tourism Revamp
The historic Havelock Bridge in Andhra Pradesh is set to undergo a ₹47 crore tourism redevelopment ahead of the 2027 Godavari Pushkarams. The project aims to transform the former railway bridge into a stronger visitor attraction while preserving its heritage character. Located across the Godavari in Rajamahendravaram, the structure remains one of the region’s most recognisable landmarks. Its redevelopment forms part of wider efforts to improve tourism infrastructure before the major religious gathering. A successfully restored bridge could support spiritual tourism while also creating new opportunities for cultural experiences, riverfront activity, local businesses and longer visitor stays in the Godavari tourism region.
