Air India Adds Four Weekly Delhi–Osaka Flights from February 2027
Air India has announced nonstop Delhi–Osaka flights from February 2, 2027, operating four times weekly with Boeing 787-8 aircraft. Osaka will become the airline’s second Japanese destination after Tokyo, expanding direct travel options between India and Japan.
The service will allow travellers to arrive in Osaka and return from Tokyo, or reverse the journey, supporting itineraries that combine Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. Air India cited more than 315,000 Indian visitors to Japan in 2025, up 35% year-on-year, as evidence of the market’s growing importance.
B2B impact: Japan specialists can build more flexible multi-city packages, while corporate travel planners gain another direct connection. Agents should review the different operating days in each direction, booking availability and domestic connections before finalising itineraries. The route is an announced February 2027 launch.
