FLY91 Opens Bengaluru–Tirupati Bookings as Regional Flight Network Expands
Regional carrier FLY91 has opened bookings for a new air connection between Bengaluru and Tirupati, widening travel options for passengers moving between Karnataka’s commercial hub and Andhra Pradesh’s prominent pilgrimage centre.
The service forms part of the airline’s wider network development plans for the Winter Schedule 2026–27, during which FLY91 intends to strengthen its presence across regional aviation markets.
Under the proposed expansion, the airline’s weekly flight operations are expected to increase from approximately 280 services to more than 350, with its network covering 14 destinations across India.
The Bengaluru–Tirupati connection will become FLY91’s fourth route involving Tirupati. The carrier already connects the pilgrimage destination with Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry, providing links to other important cities in the region.
FLY91 operates ATR 72-600 aircraft, which support its strategy of connecting smaller destinations with larger urban and commercial centres. This operating model is particularly relevant to India’s efforts to improve regional aviation connectivity and make air travel more accessible beyond established metropolitan routes.
The additional service could also support tourism-related travel between Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Tirupati continues to be an important destination for religious journeys, making improved air access relevant to passengers travelling for pilgrimage purposes.
For the tourism sector, better connections can help travel companies develop more convenient religious tourism itineraries while offering customers alternatives to longer surface journeys.
The development is also significant for Andhra Pradesh’s tourism infrastructure, where improvements in transport connectivity are contributing to efforts to strengthen tourism access and develop regional destinations.
For travel agents and tour operators, the Bengaluru–Tirupati route could support pilgrimage packages, short-duration visits and multi-city travel programmes. The commercial opportunity will depend on operating schedules, available capacity and the convenience of connections for different traveller segments.
