The 9th edition of the Business + Leisure Travel and MICE (BLTM) 2026 concluded on September 4 at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, registering a 23% jump in trade visitors and a 10% increase on opening day alone . The three-day B2B travel mart brought together over 500 exhibitors from five countries—including Sri Lanka as Partner Country, Israel as Feature Country, and Saint Petersburg as Focus Destination—and 18 Indian states, facilitating more than 12,000 pre-scheduled business meetings and over 300 hosted buyers . The event’s closing underscored the immense potential of India’s MICE market, which official figures cited at BLTM project will grow from USD 49.4 billion in 2024 to USD 103.7 billion by 2030, while the outbound MICE tourism market is expected to reach USD 13.4 billion by 2031 . In his address, Ministry of Tourism Additional Secretary & DG Suman Billa emphasised responsible growth alongside infrastructure expansion, while Delhi Tourism MD Suneel Anchipaka confirmed plans to establish a dedicated convention bureau for the capital .
