Navi Mumbai–Chipi Flights to Begin from August 15
Direct flights between Navi Mumbai and Sindhudurg’s Chipi Airport will begin on August 15, opening a faster connection between the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and Maharashtra’s Konkan coast. The service will be operated by FLY91 and is expected to reduce travel time to approximately one hour. Chipi Airport currently has connections with Pune, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, while another domestic carrier is also expected to enter the route later. The new service arrives ahead of the Ganesh festival travel rush and could support tourism across Sindhudurg. Improved access may benefit beaches, forts, homestays, resorts, water sports operators and businesses linked to the region’s growing coastal tourism economy.
