Tourism Australia Doubles Down on India MICE with Dedicated Hire & Funding
Impact: High (Outbound MICE & Incentive Travel)
In a major boost for India outbound MICE, Tourism Australia has appointed ms Patange as Business Events Manager-India and expanded its Bid Fund Programme. The funding now supports Indian incentive groups of at least 400 delegates traveling to Australia before May 31, 2027 , covering on-ground costs like accommodation, venue hire, and transportation.
The Numbers Driving This
Business events visitation from India grew 9% YoY in 2025 to 44,417 delegates, with expenditure jumping 12% to nearly AUD 279 million (USD 196 million). “By doubling down on our Bid Fund Programme and placing a dedicated expert on the ground, we are ensuring Australia’s incentive offering remains top-of-mind for planners in India,” said Nishant Kashikar, Country Manager-India.
