Labuan Bajo begins the difficult job of rebuilding tourism after the earthquake
Indonesia’s Labuan Bajo Tourism Authority (BPOLBF) met tourism businesses and industry associations on 30 August to assess the destination’s recovery following the deadly earthquake earlier in August.
The authority’s meeting with hotels, tour operators and other tourism stakeholders focused on the condition of the tourism ecosystem and the industry’s immediate needs.
This matters because Labuan Bajo is one of Indonesia’s designated super-priority tourism destinations and a major gateway to Komodo National Park.
