Karnataka Tourism Unites Industry for Destination Showcase

The Karnataka Tourism Society (KTS), in association with the Chikkamagaluru Resort Owners Association, successfully concluded the three-day “Discover Chikkamagaluru” destination showcase, held from June 16-18 . The event brought together 150 buyers from 20 Indian states and 30 sellers from Chikkamagaluru and neighbouring destinations, including Sakleshpur and Hassan . The programme was inaugurated by Shri M. Srinivas, Chairman of Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation, and received support from the Ministry of Tourism and the Department of Tourism . A notable indicator of industry commitment was the contribution of more than 500 complimentary room nights by resort owners to hosted buyers . The initiative reflects Karnataka‘s broader strategy to promote sustainable tourism and strengthen partnerships, moving beyond Bengaluru to showcase the state’s diverse coffee heritage, hill landscapes, and cultural attractions.
