Volotea drops fuel surcharge amid EU regulatory heat

Spanish low-cost carrier Volotea announced today it is scrapping its “Iran war fuel surcharge” for new bookings. The decision follows formal investigations by competition authorities in Italy and Spain, who questioned the legality of adding conflict-based fees post-booking.
