Tourism Malaysia Expands India Outreach in Tier-Two Cities

Malaysia is strengthening its India outreach with a focused roadshow in Nashik and Sambhajinagar, signalling a deeper push beyond India’s metro cities. The campaign is part of the Visit Malaysia 2026 strategy and aims to engage travel agents, tour operators and regional travel partners in Maharashtra. India remains one of Malaysia’s most important source markets, with Indian visitors recorded strongly in 2025, a 14.6% increase over 2024. Between January and May 2026, Malaysia had already welcomed more than 600,000 Indian travellers. With over 200 weekly direct flights connecting India and Malaysia, the destination is clearly betting big on Indian outbound growth.
