Rajasthan sells summer differently
Rajasthan Tourism has launched its “Rajasthan in Summer” campaign to reposition the state as a year-round destination rather than a winter-only market. Reporting says the campaign will promote lesser-known places and immersive experiences through digital storytelling, with destinations such as Bundi, Barmer, and Udaipur expected to feature prominently.
This is a smart repositioning exercise. Rajasthan’s challenge has never been appeal; it has been seasonality, with summer often seen as off-peak. By highlighting local lifestyle, heritage, wildlife, and place-specific narratives, the state is trying to broaden travel demand and encourage both domestic and international visitors to consider shoulder and low seasons.
