Nok Air prepares to return to India

Thailand-based Nok Air intends to resume flights to India after suspending its international operations in June 2025.

The airline’s planned return is noteworthy because India is becoming one of Southeast Asia’s most fiercely contested outbound markets. Every additional seat between India and Thailand strengthens competition and gives Indian tour operators more options.

Thailand’s continued focus on the Indian market has already been visible through tourism-board engagement, wellness positioning and direct travel-trade participation. Thailand’s Indian tourism market engagement

Trade takeaway: India–Thailand connectivity is once again becoming a strategic battleground.
