APAC travellers are choosing flexibility, wellbeing — and shorter trips
Hilton’s new 2027 Trends Report, based on more than 14,000 travellers globally and more than 5,000 APAC respondents, identifies a distinctly different traveller emerging across the region.
Some 76% of APAC travellers say fresh air and the outdoors are essential to how they relax, while 56% spend more time in nature during holidays than at home. Meanwhile, 59% prefer trips that allow them to experience a lot in a short amount of time. Flexibility
India is particularly striking: 80% of Indian respondents say they like to plan trips that allow them to experience a lot in a short period; 87% say fresh air and the outdoors are essential to relaxation.
Why B2B should watch: The traditional seven-night holiday is not the only product to build anymore. Hotels, DMCs and tourism boards have an opportunity to package compact, high-value experiences around wellness, nature and personal interests. Shorter breaks
