Telangana is opening 11 historic forts to private tourism players, combining heritage conservation with hospitality, ecotourism, cultural experiences and community participation.
Private partners will be responsible for conceptualisation, development, operation and maintenance for a defined period.
Why it matters: India’s heritage-tourism pipeline is moving beyond monuments and museums towards commercially viable destination experiences, giving hotel operators, DMCs and experiential-tourism companies new opportunities.
