Bangkok Gains New Air Links to Malaysia and Europe via Thai Vietjet and LOT Polish Airlines
Bangkok is strengthening its air connectivity with new services from Thai Vietjet and LOT Polish Airlines, expanding links to Malaysia and Central Europe.
Thai Vietjet inaugurated its daily Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi)–Kuala Lumpur service on October 9, 2026, with an inaugural flight achieving a 100% load factor. Flight VZ680 departs Bangkok at 11:00 and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 14:10; return flight VZ681 departs Kuala Lumpur at 15:15 and arrives in Bangkok at 16:30.
LOT Polish Airlines launched its Warsaw–Bangkok service on October 7, 2026 — its first scheduled direct service to Thailand after a 26-year gap. The route operates three times weekly initially, increasing to five weekly flights from late October, providing up to 1,260 inbound seats per week during the winter schedule.
Trade angle: New route capacity can help operators build regional multi-country itineraries, improve flight options, and reconsider stopover combinations. Before publication, confirm exact city pairs, commencement dates, and frequencies against the airlines’ announcements.
