Rajasthan records 10.92 crore tourist visits in six months
Rajasthan recorded 10.92 crore tourist visits between January and June 2026, according to Rajasthan Tourism Department data. Domestic visitors accounted for more than 99% of the total, with 10.83 crore domestic visits and 8.44 lakh foreign visits.
Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer continue to anchor international tourism, but the numbers also underline the enormous scale of India’s domestic tourism market.
Why it matters: For tour operators and hotel companies, the numbers strengthen the case for developing secondary destinations and products beyond Rajasthan‘s traditional Golden Triangle-style circuits.
