Singapore draws more than 600,000 Indian visitors in H1 2026

SINGAPORE: India’s importance to Singapore’s tourism economy continues to rise, with more than 600,000 Indian visitors recorded during January–June 2026.

The spending story is equally noteworthy. Indian visitors generated approximately S$374 million in tourism receipts in Q1 2026, representing 8% year-on-year growth and the strongest growth among Singapore‘s source markets during the quarter.

That combination — arrivals plus spending — makes India particularly valuable to Singapore‘s hotels, attractions, MICE operators, cruise ecosystem and luxury retail sector.

Trade angle: India is increasingly not merely a volume market for Singapore; it is becoming a high-value, diversified source market.
