IndiGo Launches Direct Flights Between Gaya and Bangkok from October 26
IndiGo has announced the launch of non-stop flights between Gaya and Bangkok, effective October 26, 2026, further expanding connectivity between India and Thailand.
The new service will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays, creating a direct air link between Gaya, the gateway to Bodh Gaya, and the Thai capital.
Bodh Gaya, home to the Mahabodhi Temple—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—is one of Buddhism’s most significant pilgrimage destinations. The direct connection is expected to facilitate travel for Buddhist pilgrims from Thailand while providing Bihar residents easier access to Thailand.
Flight 6E 1083 departs Gaya at 13:15, arriving Bangkok at 17:50. The return, 6E 1084, leaves Bangkok at 10:15, arriving Gaya at 12:15.
The new route is expected to strengthen religious and heritage tourism in India while supporting the growing demand for international pilgrimage travel across Asia.
The service also highlights how improved air connectivity continues to support India’s tourism growth and regional destination development, particularly for destinations with strong cultural and spiritual significance.
