MICE and destination weddings emerge as India’s next major growth engine

The latest industry assessment puts India’s MICE sector on a projected 12–14% annual growth trajectory over the next three to five years. Corporate MICE is growing around 10–15% year-on-year, while destination weddings are expanding at an even faster 15–20%.

The most interesting part is where the growth is moving. Goa, Udaipur, Jaipur, Kochi, Varanasi and Indore are increasingly being positioned alongside the traditional corporate centres of Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai.

B2B impact

Convention infrastructure, destination wedding inventory and city-level convention bureaux could become the next competitive battleground for Indian destinations.
