ANDHRA PRADESH: Tourism Positioned as Key Growth Engine
Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh declared on March 24 that the tourism sector is emerging as a “growth engine” for Andhra Pradesh’s economic development. The Minister reviewed key initiatives ahead of a meeting with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu .

– Focus on responsible tourism and creative economy development
– Review of the 15-year financial plan for APTDC
Investment update: Representatives of M/s Modern Masti Private Limited, with whom the Tourism Department signed an MoU at IAAPI Expo-2026, confirmed the identification of locations within VMDA limits for a ₹100 crore world-class amusement park and resort in Visakhapatnam .
The meeting was attended by Special Chief Secretary Ajay Jain and senior tourism officials .
