AHMEDABAD: IITM Concludes with Strong B2B Participation
The India International Travel Mart (IITM) concluded yesterday (March 24) at the YMCA International Convention Centre in Ahmedabad. The two-day B2B exhibition featured over 100 exhibitors representing more than 10 countries and 15 Indian states , creating a dynamic platform for tourism boards, travel operators, hoteliers, and DMCs .
Key participants: Tourism Malaysia participated as the Partner Country, showcasing leisure, cultural, and adventure tourism offerings. The event drew travel trade professionals from across Gujarat and neighbouring regions, with industry body representatives from TAAI, TAFI, IATO, and regional associations in attendance .
Gujarat focus: Organised by Sphere Travelmedia & Exhibitions, the event highlighted the growing importance of Gujarat as a source market for outbound and domestic travel. Organisers noted strong interest in experiential tourism, MICE travel, wellness, and adventure segments .
Delhi Tourism Spotlight: At the event, Delhi Tourism promoted its heritage walk series, with guided experiences across Connaught Place, Old Delhi, Qutub Minar, Hauz Khas, and the National War Memorial. Many walks are scheduled during late afternoons and evenings to support night tourism and encourage longer visitor stays .
